If You're struggling to have Your radio display any type of info on it's screen it could be cause by a known problem where the radio gets frozen or stuck. If You find Yourself in this situation You should at first go ahead and disconnect the battery from the vehicle. Doing this will reset all the electronics including the radio back to it's factory settings. If Your radio still doesn't have a working display then You will need to change out the fuse for the radio. A replacement fuse will only cost a few dollars and is easy to repair.
I had a aftermarket radio and it whent out so i decided to put the original back in for the time being. And i replaced a the radio fuse cause it blew. But i still have no radio display besides the clock and that too goes away after a while. Dash go haywire if i press the i botton on the radio.
