The main problem with the stabilitrak system in a Chevy Traverse is that it will lose traction while You are driving. This is usually caused by a failed sensor at one of the wheels since the system monitors each wheel to make sure that it is not spinning freely. Another issue that can come up has to do with the ABS system in the car. This can activate when the vehicle detects a loss of traction because it will use the brake system to hold the wheel so it does not spin freely. This can lead to individual wheels getting locked up if the computer has a fault and that can lead to issues while driving where You will be dragging a wheel.
Had the issue on my 2010 Chevy Traverse with the Service Stabilitrak and Service Traction Control message coming up on the information center. When this happened the Cruise Control was also inoperable. I also had times where just after starting the engine brake not applied and transmission in park you would hear clicking from the shifter console. Which was the shift interlock solenoid. Also while in park brake not applied it would shift out of park. If you applied the brake it would not shift out of park. I replaced the brake light switch for the brake pedal with an aftermarket switch. Then the brake lights stayed on all the time. I took it to a garage and they cleared the codes and recalibrated the brake light switch. Was having problems wit the brake lights coming on after the scan tool was removed from Vehicle. Diagnosis was a bad New switch! I ordered one from the local Chevy garage and put it on and the Brake lights work when the pedal is depressed and no more Stabilitrak and traction control issues. Moral of the story is to get a switch from the Manufacturer instead of an aftermarket one. The OE one had no play in it compared to the Aftermarket one.
Problema com volante preso. Aparece a luz de stabilitrak e de derrapagem. As vxz também tem o sinal de serviço direção hidráulica para conduzir com cuidado. Nenhum mecânico conseguiu ainda me dizer o que realmente se passa. Alem do volante ficar rijo e preso também tenho sentido outro problema que é o veículo a tremer e a desligar o motor logo que coloco combustível e também a velocidade a enfraquecer quando estou principalmente numa subida.
