If You are having problems with the air conditioning on the HyundaiAccent then there are a few things You need to check. The first is the fuse box, located to the left of the steering wheel. If the fuse for the climate control system has burnt to then it will not work. If this is not the issue then You should check the level of freon in the car. If it is low then You will not get cold air, or it will be intermittent. Finally, if neither of these is the issue then the control motor for the system may be damaged. This will require You to replace it, which will cost a couple hundred in total, plus labor which will be about half that.

What a about a high pitched whining sound? The a/c still gets cold and the sound only happens when the a/c is on.
