The most common wiper-related issue for the Jeep Wrangler is actually an issue with the windshield defroster. There are numerous complaints that the defrost vents only blow into the center of the windshield. This allows snow and ice to build up on the sides of the wipers, which makes the ice also accumulate on the blades. The blades can't clean the window, they need to be replaced sooner than average, and the wiper motor often needs replacing prematurely. Also, this can clog or freeze the nozzle so solution can't be used, making it nearly impossible to get a clean window. This makes it extremely dangerous to drive in harsh weather. The average cost to replace the wiper motor in a Jeep Wrangler is $180 to $200. Labor makes up around $80 of that total expense.
