The most common problems with the axles in the Mazda3have to do with the splines where they meet with the transaxle in the vehicle. These can become stripped and worn down over time and that can lead to a loss of connection with the axles and that can lead to the vehicle losing power. Another common problem with the axles has to do with torn boots on them. When this happens debris can get into the axle and that can cause damage to the teeth on the gears as well. The last and least common problem has to do with the axle breaking. This is very uncommon but it is possible for too much torque to be exerted on the axle and that can cause it to snap.

Some potential axle problems are caused by a bad differential in a 2015 mazda5 and can lead to worn u-joints, unbalanced drive shaft or a broken pinion-gear.
