The most common MINI Cooper cooling system problems are caused by leaks from the system. When leaks develop that leads to coolant loss which can cause the engine to overheat. The most common place that coolant will leak in Your car is from one of the hoses. They are attached with hose clamps that can come loose over time and that is an easy place for a leak to develop. You may also notice that the hoses are leaking from the middle of the lines. That is usually caused by a worn out hose that will need to be replaced. If You notice leaks You should fix them as soon as possible to prevent permanent damage to Your engine.

Mini cooper cooling system issues that can lead to overheating are low coolant levels, radiator malfunction or water pump failures.
