The transmission problems in the Ram ProMaster 2500 are largely dependent on model year since different years used different transmissions. However, some of the most common across all years are transmission fluid leakage. Perhaps the moSTSerious, ending in a recall, is the 2014 to 2019 models with a 3.6L Pentastar V6. These have a transmission gear shifter cable susceptible to kinking, which can cause the van to unintentionally move. I don't need to tell You twice that a rolling van poses a safety hazard to those both inside and out, so if You haven't already, You should get the recall work done as soon as possible, if You have an affected model year. If You don't, the best advice I can give is to just keep an eye on Your transmission fluid levels and replace at regular intervals, because You're not particularly prone to any serious problems.

If your Ram ProMaster 2500 is experiencing transmission problems you will notice hard shifting, gear slippage, hesitating and sluggish performance in your vehicle.

I have a 2017 2500 3.6 promaster that I got a shop to fix the oil cooling pump when I got it back within a day the transmission started to Riving up at a lightand would not go at regular speed. It would do 4000 R. PM's just to get going. And then we took it back to the shop and they reset the computer and work fine for a day or 2. And then it started doing the same thing. Is there anything you can point me in the right direction
