The Toyota Camry has multiple customer complaints about the headlights across model years. The two biggest being that the low beam headlights are very dangerous to use at night due to how dim they are. Many people report that they are so dim they only light up the bottom half of people, animals and other objects. When taken into dealerships, they are told that the headlights are to specification and nothing is wrong with them (like burnt out bulbs, a blown fuse, etc). Overall, this seems like a design flaw, and one that many customers find very dangerous. The other biggest complaint is that many drivers find that their headlights unexpectedly turn out while driving, despite having been working right before that, and that its not a one-off issue. Headlight complaints are by far the biggest reported problem, and they are not few and far between.

The first time I drove my new Camry at night I was confused. The top half of my windshield was quite dark. It’s not ok.

I am having the same problem and almost had a few accidents. It is scary to drive at night. I will pay for it to be fixed this weekend, but why hasn't there been a recall or discount?
My wife had an accident the other night because an 18 wheeler was diagonally blocking both lanes and she didn't see it until it was too late because of the headlight not bright enough or shines far enough out! She's ok but luckily she jerked the steering wheel and only damaged the passenger side and didn't go underneath the trailer. The police officer who was actually sitting there (in the right lane only) gave her the citation. Not right since cop was neglecting her duty to stop traffic.

Low beam lights not working or working intermittently has been a common problem for the Toyota Camry. In some cases, it is a fuse, but in others, the headlight assembly has needed replacing.
