The main grounds on the 2004 Chevy Silverado are two wires that come off of the battery's negative terminal. One of these wires is attached to the engine block, the other wire is attached to the frame rail. Both of these are good grounding points since they are solid metal. If You are installing an electronic accessory into Your truck You should try to ground it directly to the frame when possible, or the body with a spot of paint sanded off when You cannot reach the frame. If You have the wire then You can always ground it to the negative terminal of the battery instead.
