The ground wires in Your 2007 Chevy Silverado are located at two different spots. The first one can be found on the side of the engine block. The second one can be found down at the bottom of the engine at the frame rail. You can find both of these by tracing the negative wires from Your battery terminal and they will be terminated with ring terminals screwed into these locations. If You need to ground something else in Your truck I recommend using one of these spots, the negative battery terminal, or something connected directly to Your frame. Your frame works great to transmit electrical signals and is a good place to ground to. Just make sure that You remove any paint in the area where You will ground.
