Usually if Your 2015 Chevy Equinox is having stalling problems it is a problem with either the air or the fuel. Your engine requires air, fuel, and spark to run and if it is missing any of those then that will lead to the engine stalling. The first thing that You will want to check is the throttle body and the mass air flow sensor. If there is not enough air getting to the engine it will stall. If that is fine then the next thing You should check is the pressure at the fuELRail. Low fuel pressure will lead to less getting to the engine which can also stall it. The final thing to check are Your spark plugs because if they are not firing then there will be no detonation in the engine.

A malfunctioning actuator is the most common cause of stalling in the 2015 chevrolet equinox.

My friend said that she is having the exact same problem. Did you determine what caused the problem? Do you have any CEL fault codes?

Yea take it to a shop and say you want the actuator replaced. You'll get far. Cheers, good luck. There are a number of reasons an engine can stall... Is there check engine and if so what codes are present. If I was a dart board part guy I would toss the throttle body/ TPS dart. Possible mass air flow sensor. Usually it is intake related on gm cars. I've even seen debris inside the mass airflow sensor, literally blocking the wire.

My 2015 Chevy Equinox did that and it ended up being the timing chain. The engine was junk. $4,000 repair.

These answers are so vague! What are the specific conditions it’s happening during? Is the A/C on? Is it at every stop or only after prolonged stop and go driving? Does it happen after prolonged idling? How does it drive at higher speeds?

Sarge has the right fix. You have to change the 2 variable valve camshaft solenoids.

Camshaft solenoid needs replaced. 2014 models hit the worst. Just Google my Chevy eqinox stops at traffic lights. You'll see a lot of drivers had same problem.
