The most common transmission problem reported for the honda civic type r is a gear grind shifting between second and third gear. There are also complaints of a down shift lockout when shifting from 6th gear overdrive to 5th gear.

Im having the same thing happen to me and can't get the dealership to replicate the issue and the wheels are making low squealing nosies
