It seems that most of the Honda HR-V's suspension problems are relatively commonplace among the suspensions on most vehicles, but they do perhaps happen just a bit sooner. It seems that the shocks are particularly susceptible to failure, often occurring at fewer than 20,000 miles. This should typically be covered under warranty though, and the replacement shocks don't have the same longevity issues. The struts may also fail, or the bolts may just come a bit loose. To remedy the latter, You'll just need to torque the bolts to specification; no replacements necessary. Overall, any vehicle's suspension is susceptible to routine problems and routine replacements, but it doesn't seem that the HR-V really encounters anything especially heinous.

There have been some suspension problems with the honda hrv, causing the car to shudder and squeal on occasion.
