A couple things could cause a loud humming noise when You're driving Your 2013 Chevrolet Equinox. A primary cause is a bad wheel bearing, as these fail somewhat frequently. You'll often notice the humming only at certain speeds, though. Another cause can be if You have different tread depths on Your tires; if there's one with uneven wear, it can emit some loud noise at moSTSpeeds, and is louder than the soft humming or grinding noise You'd hear with the wheel bearings. If You're hearing a low-pitch humming or sort of whirring sound, this could be related to low lubrication on the differentials, or a failing transmission. Let's hope it's not that, as it'll be an expensive repair.

A bad wheel bearing sound on a 2013 chevy equinox is usually a loud hum coming from that wheel sort of like loud road noise from bad tires.
