In most cases if Your 2013 Chevy Equinox clicks, but doesn't start, You're dealing with a dead battery. This can be caused by something simple, such as leaving an interior light on. In this case, You simply need to jump start the battery. However, if the battery needs to be replaced, You'll need a group size 47 battery, capable of 600 cold cranking amps. Batteries generally need to be replaced every three years. In some cases, it can be battery-related, but not really an issue with the battery itself. The cables that connect to the battery can come loose from vibration. There might also be corrosion built up on the terminals that needs to be cleaned away. Quite often, addressing these issues will fix the problem. Lastly, You might have an alternator issue. If the battery isn't getting charged and it's not the battery's fault, it's due to the alternator not replenishing the power.

There is clicking but the car won't start, this is most indicative of a dead battery.
