If You are hearing humming coming from the 2014 Chevy Silverado then it can be a couple of things. If the humming is constant and does not change with speed then You having cupping in the tires. Cupping is when the tires wear unevenly, meaning that some of the rubber is higher off the ground than other sections. When the tires spin they will grip dirt and road dust in these sections, and this will make a humming sound. This will lead to further tire wear, but it's not an immediate issue. If the humming gets louder when You go faster however then You likely have something wrong with the ball bearings and they are vibrating. This could indicate You have upcoming issues and You should have it looked at.
