If the 2006 Toyota Tacoma has a flashing TPMS light then it is usually letting You know that there is a problem with one of the tire pressure sensors. Some of the symptoms You may notice are the TPMS misreading the pressure of the tires and also alerting You of a low tire but it is at proper PSI. You can take the truck to a service shop and they can check to see if the sensors are d***y or they may need to be replaced as they have a TPMS reader that will run a diagnostic to see what the issue is. The TPMS sensors on the tires can get d***y and they can also break off when driving in rough conditions or a sudden strike to the tire.

If your tires are under- or over-inflated, the tpms activates a warning light on your dashboard. When the light is steady, it means you need to have your tire pressure checked. When the light is flashing, it means you need to have your tpms checked.
