The CT200H Check Hybrid System is an indication an error has occurred in the functioning of the car's hybrid system. The warning is not usually accompanied by a no-start, but should be diagnosed by having the car scanned with an OBDII tool to review specific codes\. Lexus and Toyota Prius vehicles in particular, suffer from inverter failure. An inverter is part of the vehicle's hybrid system and is used to convert the battery's Direct Current (DC) into the Alternating Current (AC) the motor needs. Toyota issued a TSB for the inverter failure, extending the warranty for Prius models to cover its replacement. Other common causes the warning light illuminates, include failure of the 12V battery, a blown fuse or dead battery cells.

'Check Hybrid System' warning light suddenly came on after 10+ years of CT200H with 125K+ miles. If it is, in fact, an invertor issue that needs to be replaced, how much is that at a repair shop? What should one anticipate as the cost to fix this issue?

If your check hybrid light is illuminated in the lexus ct200h it indicates a problem with the operation of the hybrid battery or charging system. Check your batteries fuses first.

I am having the same problem with a 2013. I bought it 3 months ago and the dealer keeps doing something to it to make it work for about a week and then it goes back to the same thing. If anybody knows how to fix this or reset the codes or whatever please reply.
