The message engine coolant low service required on the Ford Fusion is pretty self explanatory, it means that the coolant is low and needs changed/topped up. However some people get that message even though they just changed the coolant/ To try to get the message to go away try to fill it to the exact maximum level. If the message is still showing after a coolant change/top up then the issue is because of a sensor, wiring or software issue. If it is one of the issues, the sensor or the wiring would need to be replaced or the software would need to be looked at. If the coolant is actually low, the capacity for the vehicle iS7.8 quarts for initial fill.

Some ford fusion owners have noted that they are getting the engine coolant low service even though they know that their coolant level is okay.
