If Your Ford Transit shows no ignition lights and fails to start You most likely have a dead battery. The simplest way to correct this problem is to jump start the car using a second vehicle with a good battery. To do this You will only need a set of jumper cables. Pull the running vehicle close enough that the cables will reach both batteries and turn off the engine. Connect the positive lead of the cables to the good battery and then the dead one, followed by the negative lead. Once You have the cables connected, start the vehicle that has the good battery and let it run for a minute or so before You crank the Transit. Once the Transit has started You need to drive it for 30 minutes or so to give the alternator a chance to fully recharge the battery.

No ignition lights and the engine not starting are usually telltale signs of a dead battery.

Battery fully charged, all electrical systems working, eg heater blower, radio, windows, ventral locking. No ignition lights, no cranking.
