The ECON button that is located on Your dash in Your Dodge Caravan is used to adjust the engine timing and the transmission shift points so that they maximize fuel economy. When You press this button You may notice that Your vehicle feels a bit slower and is down on power, that is because it limits the amount of fuel into the engine so that there is less waste. This mode can be very good if You are trying to get the best mileage possible as You can usually get 2 to 3 miles per gallon more out of it. This could save You money if You are doing a long drive, and can also help cut down on Your emissions to the environment.
