The 2010 Toyota Highlander has a snow mode that is meant to start the truck in second gear and causes the transmission to work a little differently. This mode enables better traction since it prevents the truck from accelerating as fast, and it allows for better stops and control in snow and any other conditions that might be wet or slippery. To use this mode, simply push the SNOW button once. To turn it off, push the button again. Its important to note that a button with a snowflake is designated for air conditioning, not snow mode. So if You see one and accidentally push it, it will turn AC on.

The 2010 Toyota Highlander snow mode is basically designed to start the vehicle in second gear and changes the way your transmission works. It will be easier to maintain traction because the vehicle will not be able to accelerate as quickly, allowing the Highlander to handle better from a stop in the snow and other slippery conditions.
