The 2017 Toyota Corolla is recommended by the manufacturer to use 87 octane regular unleaded gasoline or higher. Despite popular belief using higher octane fuel then recommended by the factory specs does not have any real benefits for Your engine or vehicle. It has been said You will get better gas mileage or it can potentially keep Your fuel injectors and fuel pump clean but these statements have been found to be false. If You do notice some hesitation when pressing the accelerator in the vehicle or trouble starting the vehicle You can purchase some fuel pump/injector cleaner from Your auto repair store which will help clean the build up that is causing the vehicle to not get enough gas for maintaining proper running state.
