For the 2015 Nissan Altima it is recommended that You use an unleaded gasoline that is at least 87 octane. Using anything lower than that can cause damage to Your vehicle. You should never use a leaded gasoline, E-15, or E-85 because You will likely void Your warranty. This is especially true for the leaded gasoline which can do damage to Your three-way catalyst.The Altima has a fuel tank capacity of about 18 gallons and You can go pretty far on a full tank because of its good fuel economy. You can get 27 mpg in the city and up to 38 mpg on the highway. -

I get better mpg with the mid grade Shell 89 octane.About 205.4 miles takes it to 1/4 Tank from Camp Verde to Phoenix and back.And thats on the I-- 17 in the mountains.
