If You have a check engine light turn on in Your Chevy Cruze the first thing You will want to do is get to a safe area and park the car. Continuing to run Your car can be dangerous and it could cause damage to Your engine. Next You will need to use an OBD II scan tool to read Your ECU for any codes that are thrown. If You have a code 136 then that means that there is a problem with the parking sensors. This is a code that will not cause any mechanical damage so You are safe to drive Your car but You will want to inspect Your sensors for signs of damage or debris.
