This is one of the most common fault codes and it typically can be the result f a loose or damaged fuel cap. This will be the first thing to inspect to see if this could be the cause. There can also be other issues with the truck such as a bad vapor canister purge valve, fuel vapor hose leak, or a d***y or damaged fuel tank pressure sensor. You will most likely have to inspect these items to find the cause which can be tiresome or You can take it to the dealership or auto shop mechanic and have them diagnose it for You.

EVAP SOLINOID problem. REPLACE solinoid located under truck. You can test old one bytaking 9vlt battery and pos and neg to touch connection on solinoid, When touched you should hear a click noise then disconnect and connect should hear click if not solinoid is defective, REPLACE
