As the driver of a 2000 Honda CR-V, You may find Yourself in need of knowing the location of the linear solenoid. It is relatively easy to locate, and can be done in 5 to 8 minutes of Your time. The first thing You will need to do is go to the front of Your vehicle. Using the prop arm to secure the hood, open the engine bay. Look to the left of the engine block, towards the transmission. The linear solenoid will be on the passenger side, or to the right, of the tranny. If it has gone bad, it will need to be replaced. You can expect to pay between $32 and $75 for a new solenoid.
