The CamShaft position sensor of a 2001 Honda CR-V is located on top of the cylinder head on the front of the engine. It has a wire connector attached, so release the tab of the sensor to disconnect it before replacing. Always disconnect the negative battery cable first. The camshaft sensor is an important part of any vehicle because it manages parts of the engine's operation. When You have a faulty camshaft sensor, the check engine light illuminates, there are ignition problems, the engine stalls, and You might experience poor acceleration. You should have this part replaced immediately, if You determine that it is indeed faulty.
