There is no location for the cabin air filter on the 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier because there is no cabin air filter. This is the same in previous years starting at 1995. Instead of using a cabin air filter, it uses a plastic mesh that will prevent debris such as leaves and other things from entering the HVAC system. This doesn't need to be replaced unlike the cabin air filter that should be replaced every 15,000 miles to 30,000 miles. If the vehicle had a cabin air filter the location would be either behind the passenger glove box or in the engine area below the windshield. The vehicle does have a regular air filter which sometimes gets confused with a cabin air filter. The air filter cleans the air that is going through the engine.

The cabin air filter on a 2002 Chevy cavalier is located underneath the dashboard on the passenger side foot well.
