The 2002 Chevy TrailBlazer is not equipped with a separate IAC or idle air control valve but uses a throttle body actuator to accomplish the same function. If the AC is causing the car to stall or You experience rough idling, the major cause is a d***y throttle body. Owners have successfully cleaned sludge, debris and gunk from the TB and restored smooth idle and AC function. As part of the vehicle's intake system the TB is responsible for controlling the amount of air injected into the engine and creates a desired air/fuELRatio for optimal combustion. If it is stuck closed drivers experience stalling as spark is compromised. A d***y TB operates much like a closed one. Cost of having it professionally cleaned is between $230-$300.
