The throttle position sensor in a 2002 Chevy TrailBlazer is located on the throttle body on the intake manifold. The throttle position sensor is a small black square piece of plastic that has wires going to it. This sensor is used to determine the amount of throttle that You have used when You are driving and it will open and close the throttle body to match that. When You are having a sensor fault usually a check engine light will come on at the dash to let You know. Symptoms of a bad throttle position sensor can include delayed acceleration, and less than ideal throttle pedal feel due to it being unresponsive. Replacing the sensor is a pretty simple thing to do and usually costs under $200.
