The camshaft position sensor on the 2004 Acura TL is found in the valve cover near the top of the engine, near the timing cover and behind the timing belt. It's a bit tricky to get to, but relatively easy to swap out once You do. There's a single bolt holding it in place, with a lead from the engine wiring harness going into it that needs to be disconnected. You can pick up an aftermarket replacement, the Duralast brand, SU4111, from Autozone for around $145, which is a drop-in and compatible part. If You haven't already gotten a diagnostic trouble code (DTC) with a check engine light (CEL), but suspect Your CMP may be failing, some signs are rough idling, frequent stalls, drops in engine power, and reduced gas mileage.
