The 2004 Chevy Malibu Maxx came equipped with a 3.5 L V6 engine under the hood. There was no option for any other motor. Like most Chevy vehicles this engine is going to need to run on synthetic 5W-30 motor oil. The oil is going to need to be changed out every 7,500 miles and You're going to have a capacity of 4 US quarts including the filter. The capacity is exactly one gallon so You should be able to get a one gallon jug to fully fill this up. The oil drain plug will need to be removed with a 15mm socket and it'll require 25 ft-lbs of torque.
