The anti-theft system on Your 2005 Honda Accord helps to prevent unauthorized starting of the vehicle. But, if You need to change Your battery, You will need to disable the alarm. If You forget to do this it will go off and You'll need to reset the system. Once the alarm goes off, You need to know how to shut it off, and then how to reset the anti-theft system. All You need for this is Your ignition key. Insert the ignition key in the Accord's driver-side door lock. Turn the key to the unlock position. Turn the key to the lock position. Finally turn the key back to the unlock position and You are done. The alarm should now be disabled.

I bought my 05 accord with no keys or key fob. I had to put in a new ignition lock cylinder and new door lock cylinder. Door lock has no chip. THE alarm goes off every time I open my door weather I'm inside the car or not & it's draining my battery & it's drawing unwanted attention, please HELP

Install the ignition key in the driver-side door lock of the agreement to disable the 2006 honda accord alarm. Switch the key to location unlock. Switch the key into place of the lock. Turn the key back to location on the unlock. The alarm should be inactivated now. Start your engine and let the car run for 10 minutes or more.
