The 2006 Chevy TrailBlazer came standard with A4.2L V6 engine. There was also two upgrade options available the first being A5.3L V8 and the second being A6.0L V8. No matter which engine You have in Your vehicle they will all run on synthetic 5W-30 motor oil. This is the standard oil type that Chevy uses on the majority of it's vehicle produced in the new millennium. The only difference between these engines as far as oil goes is the capacity. The standard engine will have a capacity of 7 US quarts while the to V8 engines will need 6 US quarts for a full fill up.
