The 2008 Chevrolet Silverado should be brought in for a check-up every 7,500 miles. At everyone one of these checkups, You'll want to rotate the tires, check the engine oil level and oil life and change it and the filter if needed. You'll want to replace the engine air cleaner every 4 years, or at 45,000 miles, 90,000 miles, and 135,000 miles. You should also change the automatic transmission fluid (on trim levels with an automatic) or the transfer case fluid at the same interval as the air cleaner, and also have the evaporative control system inspected at these times. Your spark plugs and wires should be changed at 97,500 miles. Finally, when You hit the big 150,000 miles, You'll want to drain, flush and refill the engine cooling system (or at every 5 years --- whichever happens first) and have the engine accessory drive belts checked for fraying, cracks, or obvious damage.
