The 2008 Ford F-150 comes standard with M14 X2.0 lug nuts with a 19mm hex. This means that You will need to use a 19 mm socket to remove the lugs from the truck. It is a good idea to use an impact driver when You remove the lug nuts from Your vehicle because it can be good to break the torque that holds them in place. You should never use an impact to reinstall Your lug nuts though. When installing lugs You should use a calibrated torque wrench so that You do not put too much torque on them. Excessive torque can easily strip out the lugs or studs and require a replacement.
