The battery in Your 2017 Honda CR-V key fob is a CR2032. A CR battery is one of the coin style batteries and they are used because they are thin enough to fit into Your fob without adding any bulk. If You notice that Your key fob is not unlocking Your car, or the keyless start system is not working the first thing You should do is replace the battery. To replace it in a Honda key fob You will need to remove the single screw that is in it and then You can pry the housing apart to access the battery. Always be sure to put the new battery in the same way that You took the old one out to keep polarity correct.

The key fob for a 2017 honda cr-v will require a 3-volt battery as a replacement. These are very cheap and you shouldn't spend more than $5.
