The 2018 Chevrolet Impala technically has a towing capacity of 1000 pounds according to the manufacturer, but I wouldn't recommend towing anything with it. The reason for this is because its transmission was not designed to tow loads, so doing so can cause damage that will cost You thousands to repair. If You're keeping with low weights though, it's theoretically possible that You'll be able to successfully move around a small trailer, so long as it's under a half ton. This shouldn't be a common occurrence, as doing so can put undue stress on Your suspension (tongue weight) or transmission. Closely monitor Your transmission fluid temperature any time You're pulling a load, because calling for help is significantly less expensive than buying a new transmission.
