The 2019 Honda Accord does have an issue with the collision mitigation braking system. It is currently being addressed in A-A-Classction lawsuit. Every Accord model from years 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 are included in the lawsuit. This is because the drivers of these vehicles have experienced sudden activation of the system, without warning. When this occurs, there is no reason for it to have been triggered. Some drivers were traveling at well over 55 miles per hour at the time of it occurred, and sudden slamming of the brakes results in damage to the vehicle, injury to the driver and passengers, and has the potential to result in a severe, or even fatal, accident.

This is so crazy because I thought I was alone in this. I was actually driving on the freeway on my way to work one morning, going well over 55 mph, and my car just braked out of no where. Thank GOD no one was behind me but everything inside of the car went flying and I myself smashed into the steering wheel. I'm surprised my airbag didn't go off because my chest hurt for quite a few days following. I had no idea there was even a class action underway. Thanks for the info, I will be reaching out to Honda!

Mine has gone off on several occasions slamming the brakes on for no reason while I was driving and now all my lights are going on saying that there is something wrong. Taking it to the shop tomorrow. Afraid to drive it now.

My car just braked out of no where… No other vehicles around… I was at 50 mph… thank God no one was behind me! This is unacceptable !!! Honda needs to address the issue!
