The brake hold button in a 2020 Toyota Corolla can be found on the center console next to the gear selector. It is directly above the EPB button. When this button is engaged the brake pedal will be automatically held once You come to a stop and the only way to start it again is to use the accelerator pedal. This can be a nice feature when You are in stop and go traffic so You can take Your foot off the pedal for a while. If the system is not working properly then You will want to have Your brake system inspected by a Toyota mechanic for any damage or problems.

What I don't understand is why very time you switch off engine, the hold function gets deactivated?
