As the owner of a Chevrolet Aveo, You may be having difficulty locating the speed sensor for Your vehicle. It is easy to find, and will only take about 5 to 7 minutes of Your time. The firSTStep You should take is to go to the front of Your vehicle, and open the hood. Use the prop arm found on the passenger side of the engine bay to hold the hood in an upright position. Now, look toward the back left of the engine bay, to the right rear of the transmission. There, You should see the speed sensor, typically mounted directly to the tranny. If the sensor has gone bad, it should be replaced. This will cost You between $30 and $70 on average.

The speed sensor is located in the transmission housing on most models of this car.
