GM issued a recall for the 2015 Chevrolet Colorado due to the fact that the seat frame wasn't properly attached at the factory during assembly. This was a serious safety issue and is why they issued a recall The seats could Become it detached from the frame during high impact crash. This could cause serious bodily harm to both passenger and driver. Jim apparently contacted all owners who were affected by the recall to have the issue fixed. All they had to do was go under the seats and tighten a few bolts. But those bolts were what potentially stood between life or death. This issue was fixed before anybody was seriously injured or killed. GM was quick to act in order to limit losses in lawsuits.

The hooks that secure the driver's and/or front passenger's seat frame may not have been properly attached to the vehicle body during assembly is the official reasons given for the recall.
