The repairs will be made at no charge if takeng to the dealership and they determine this is the problem. The pump can leak from the weep reservoir or from the shaft seal of the water pump, resulting in a coolant drip on the engine or the ground. The loss of coolant will decrease cooling efficiency over time. And it could potentially contribute to engine overheating. If this condition is not rectified, the "Service" The indicator light for the engine may come on have an "Engine Hot, AC Off" message appear with a chiming tone, and it can decrease engine power as well.

The chevy cruze water pump recall happened because the pump would leak coolant.
Yes my 2013 cruze lt is doing same thing dealership is changing in morning changed at 70k by dealership and now at 140k again
