What is the chevy equinox door rust recall about?

There are not currently any active recalls on the Chevy Equinox for door rust, but there is a service bulletin that Chevrolet has issued about it. There is a known problem that the underside of the doors to the vehicle are missing a rust inhibitor in some cases. When these doors are missing this rust protectant it can lead to the bottom side of the doors rusting in conditions where there is excessive water or salt on the road to melt snow. Usually You will notice the ruSTStart to form on the underside of the front doors. If Your doors are rusting I recommend visiting a Chevy dealer to see what they can do for You, lots of times they can stop the rust and install a rust prevention spray.
