The Chevy Tahoe has a lug nut torque of 140 foot pounds per nut. This much torque will ensure that the lug nuts stay on the vehicle and do not come loose while You are driving. When You are changing a wheel You can use an impact driver to remove the lug nuts, as they can be very good at breaking the torque and freeing them. However when You reinstall Your lugs never use an impact driver. Always use a socket with an extension on it, or preferably a calibrated torque wrench to make sure to get the torque correct. Putting too much torque on Your lug nuts can strip out the lugs or the threads and that can lead to needing to replace Your wheel hub.
