The lug nuts on a Ford Focus are M12 X1.50 with a 19mm hex size. This means that the thread is M12, and they are 1.5 inches long. The 19mm hex size is the size socket that You will need to loosen and tighten the lugs. It is okay to use an impact driver when You are removing lug nuts, but You should always use a socket, tire iron, or torque wrench when installing them. An impact driver may put too much torque on the lugs while they are being installed and that can lead to them stripping out and being stuck on the wheel hubs.

Just tried a 19mm socket on a Ford Focus. Too tight. Next size up seemed to shear the nut.

Very comment issue w fords in this era...corrosion will swell the sleeve over the nut. Hammer on a 3/4 inch, 20mm, 21mm, whatever fits, and then remove. Buy all new replacements. Can leave you stranded if you have a flat.

Agreed. The socket size is supposed to be 19mm, unless the aluminum casing gets broken off the lug nut (which often happens when the tire stores rotate your tires.) If the aluminum lug nut casing is gone, then you need an 18mm socket in order to remove the lug nut.

The lug nuts on the ford focus are m12 x 1.50 Thread size and take a 19mm socket to remove.

Or if the lug is not original to the car it can be a different size for what socket you use to take it off. I am dealing with that right now.

I use a 3/4 to rotate my tires. 2013 ST, have been rotating them every oil change for 10 years with it.
