Upgrading the turbo in Your Ford Fusion with the 2.0L ecoboost engine is a rather big project. The amount of work that You will need to do depends on the size turbo that You plan on swapping up to. If You want to use a much larger turbo You will need to replace all of the pipe that goes to the turbo, as well as the intercooler in most cases to help keep the air cool. If You just want to use a slightly bigger turbo then You can usually use the stock components. You will need to remove the turbo from the exhaust manifold and then remove the intake piping from it as well. It can be a project that can take oveR8 hours due to the amount of work that has to be done.
