To change the spark plugs in the Ford Fusion You will need a flathead screwdriver, 13mm socket, 8mm socket, ratcheting wrench, needle nose pliers, 5/8" spark plug socket, extension bar, 3/8" drive ratcheting wrench, and dielectric grease. The 13mm and 8mm sockets should be deep well. First remove the plastic engine cover by takeng off the four fasteners holding it in place. Loosen the hose clamp on the air intake, which is in between the second and third spark plug, using the screwdriver. Using the 13mm socket, remove the bolt on the air intake assembly then remove the vacuum line from the air intake hose. Pull out the air intake and set it to the side. Pull off the plastic loop that is attached to the wiring harness near the spark plug ignition coil. Here You will use the 8mm socket to remove the ignition coil bolt. Pull the coil out then using the 5/8" socket, attached to the extension bar and drive ratcheting wrench, loosen the old spark plug. Screw in the new spark plug and apply the dielectric grease to the opening at the bottom of the ignition coil. Reinsert the coil and associated bolt. Replace each of the parts removed in the earlier steps.

To change the spark plugs in a ford fusion, first remove the ignition coil then unscrew the spark plug. Then install the new plug, lube up the boot, and return the ignition coil.
