The 2012 Toyota Camry uses the 87-octane regular unleaded gasoline. This is an industry standard fuel type that is used by many vehicles. However, thiS-TYPE of fuel isnt considered premium. Premium octane fuels start from a grade of 91 and go up to 94. ThiS-TYPE of fuel is considered premium and is used by some vehicles such as Chevrolet Equinox, Chevrolet Malibu and the Buick Envision. These cars need premium fuel to perform optimally. Although premium fuel provides a much better engine performance, it costs a lot more than the low-grade alternatives. Furthermore, the premium fuel grade may not be compatible with Your vehicle and could cause You more harm than good in the long run.
